Workplace retaliation is a serious problem. When people have a problem at work, they need to be able to tell their supervisors, the human resources department or other agencies without the risk of that coming back to hurt them. Retaliation isn’t always losing a job. Retaliation includes changing a person’s work schedule to conflict with their parenting schedule, excluding someone from training for promotions or even transferring someone to a difficult job in hopes that he or she will quit.
